Police officer banned from job after pub fight

by Gavin

A former officer has been banned from policing after punching a man in the head at a pub.

Former PC Cameron Talbot, who worked for Gloucestershire Police, was off duty when he was involved in the incident at a pub in Bishop's Cleeve, near Tewkesbury, in March 2024.

A misconduct panel found Mr Talbot breached the police's professional standards, and he would have been dismissed had he not already resigned.

Deputy chief constable Katy-Barrow-Grint said: "Whether on duty or off duty, police officers have a duty to conduct themselves in a manner befitting their role as a public servant."
